With just days to go, this is the last of the regularly scheduled planning meetings for the Summer Shade Festival.  ALL HANDS ON DECK!

Freshmen entering Oglethorpe University step out in the community and get involved with caring for and maintaining Grant Park. 

Students from Georgia Tech will be in the park on this Saturday before the Summer Shade Festival to help us spruce things up.

Join us for a Volunteer Orientation for the 6th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival 6:00 p.m.   We will gather at the old art deco fountain on Cherokee Avenue at Milledge Avenue and walk a portion of the Festival production area.  If you have already registered to volunteer, fantastic.  The information provided at the orientation will help you find your way around and and will enable you to help visitors find their way.  If you have not signed up, this is the last opportunity to do so.  We will discuss the various positions and responsibilities.

Welcome back to Turner Broadcasting for the annual Turner Volunteer Day.  Celebrating 10 years of this event and ten years with the Grant Park Conservancy.

Planning Committee members are invited to participate in a critique session for the 6th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival.  We had a great event but must always look for ways to improve, tweak and refresh. The critique will be held at Adams Realtors, 458 Cherokee Ave. 2nd Floor Conference Room

The Planning Team for the 6th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival hosts a Thank You Reception at Six Feet Under Westside on Thursday, September 18 6-8 p.m.  We will gather on the deck to hoist a few glasses of Summer Shade Ale, toast a successful event and say thanks to all.  RSVP by Friday, September 12 to info@gpconservancy or 404-521-0938.
