 you the 10th Annual Grant Park Conservancy Summer Shade Festival\, held in
 historic Grant Park. </span>

 <span style=\\"font-size\: small\; font-family\: verdana\, geneva\\">You know how it gets really hot in the
 summer in Atlanta and the only places you want to go are the places that have
 air conditioning? Well\, you can get out of that fake environment and enjoy the
 real outdoors this year! Grant Park provides you with natural air conditioning-
 some of the largest shade trees in Atlanta\, plus a cool and shady tree canopy
 throughout the park.  </span>

 <span style=\\"font-size\: small\; font-family\: verdana\, geneva\\">There are plenty of other ways to stay
 cool while visiting the festival. Lounge in the shade while enjoying live
 music\, visit with an artist in your favorite artist&#39\;s tent while perusing the
 handmade arts and crafts\, make a one-of-a-kind paper hat in the Kids Zone and
 cool off in a misting tent.  </span>

SUMMARY:Grant Park Conservancy Board Meeting

 <span style=\\"font-size\: x-small\\">The GPC board meeting will be held at the Zoo Atlanta ARC
 building in the TechLab. To access the TechLab\, enter the zoo through a
 small side gate located
 at the far right corner of the Cherokee Avenue parking lot. A security 
 guard
 will be on duty to open the gate for you. Enter the ARC building and 
 someone
 will escort you to the TechLab. </span>

SUMMARY:Grant Park Historic Walking Tour

 <span style=\\"font-size\: 11pt\; font-family\: Calibri\, sans-serif\\">Join us for a 90-minute walking tour of Grant Park. Learn about the history of LP Grant Park\, its Olmsted design\, fresh-water springs and one-of-a-kind historic structures on an easy\, family-friendly stroll through the park. Hear fun facts about Atlanta’s oldest park and be the first to spot newly-planted trees. Also\, learn about Grant Park Conservancy&#39\;s role in its improvement and preservation. </span>
 </p>

 <span style=\\"font-size\: 11pt\; font-family\: Calibri\, sans-serif\\">This tour will also include a visit to Fort Walker\, a Civil War encampment located inside the park which is the only surviving part of what was the strategic defense line of Atlanta. Meet at the north side of the Grant Park Farmers Market\, at the intersection of Cherokee and Milledge Avenues (for mapping purposes to locate the market\, use this address\: 587 Cherokee Avenue\, 30312). We will conclude the tour at the Grant Park Farmers Market\, a program of the Grant Park Conservancy\, where you can purchase drinks\, King of Pops popcicles\, gorceries and other goodies.
