2007 Summer Shade Artist Awards

The Organizing Committee for the 2007 Grant Park Summer Shade Festival wishes to extend CONGRATULATIONS to all of our participating artists.  The Panel of Judges reviewed each artist on the following criteria:

1. Overall Display
2. Craftsmanship
3. Artist Availability/Approachability
4. Originality
5. Consistency

The WINNERS:

BEST OF SHOW              Michelle Prahler - Planet Prahler

SECOND PLACE             Katy Dement - Papermaker

THIRD PLACE                Ethan Lillemoe - Pottery

HONORABLE MENTION   Paul Anderson - Sculpture

Sincere thanks to our Artist Selection Committee and to our panel of judges.   The Festival received over 250 applications from artists across the region for only 100 exhibit slots.  Applications for the 2008 show will be available soon.
