The 2007 Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is currently accepting applications for its Non Juried Artist Market scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 30^th and 31^st .  Sponsored by The Grant Park Conservancy and a host of business supporters, the Sixth Annual Summer Shade Festival is on track to continue its growth as one of Atlanta’s coolest events.   The festival is located in historic L.P. Grant Park and is easily accessed from Interstate highways I-20 and I-75/85.  The setting provides a wonderful shady backdrop for the Festival.  The weekend is filled with a variety of featured events including the Juried and Non Juried Artist Market, food vendors, the Adams Realtors 5K Run for the Park on Saturday morning, live performance stages, a children’s fun center and our fine food and wine event – Corks & Forks.  We anticipate up to 20,000 attendees during the two day festival.  Proceeds from the festival benefit the Grant Park Conservancy and its efforts to restore this historic green space. Our fees are designed to encourage early application/entry and to provide an affordable investment.   The submission of an application does not guarantee space.  Entry fee checks are not processed until the Review Committee reaches a decision.  Original entry fee check will be returned to those not selected.  The $15.00 application fee is non refundable.  Since we have a limited number of 10’x10’, we recommend you complete and submit your application at the earliest date listed below to take advantage of pricing and to give our Selection Committee sufficient time to review your entry. The Review Committee meets shortly after each deadline or until allocated space is filled.  Committee decisions are final.  Fees for participation are: 

After March 1 - $225.00 + $15.00 application fee 

All Exhibitors are required to have a 10’x10’ tent (white is preferred).  You may provide your own tent or request a tent from the Festival ($250 weekend rental includes set up/take down, weighting, two chairs, one six foot table; side panels can be provided upon request at a cost of $12 per side.).   Tents must be weighted on all corners to secure them in case of storm or wind.  Electricity is not available and generators are not allowed.  No staking of tents or for any other purpose is allowed.    Please submit check payable to the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival and mail with the completed application/registration to 2008 Grant Park Summer Shade Festival, 499 Broyles Street. The Festival will feature both a juried artist market and a non juried artist market.  What's the difference between the two?  A committee of local artists will review all applications for the juried section.  Artists accepted to the juried section are eligible for cash prizes - Best of Show, Second Place, Third Place and Honorable Mention.  The juried section is located in a heavy traffic area.Artists participating in the non juried section are selected by the Festival Committee, are not eligible for judging/prizes and are physically separated from the juried section.  There is no buy/sell.
