The Grant Park Conservancy is proud to be a "Preservation Partner" with the Atlanta Preservation Centers' " 7th Annual Phoenix Flies - A Citywide Celebration of Living Landmarks" (March 6-22, 2010) (www.preservaneatlanta.com) and is pleased to offer a series of walking tours and activities to help you understand and learn more about Atlanta's oldest public park.
Our Trees, Native Plants, Non Native Plants Walkng Tour will focus on identifying plants and speaking of their characteristics, likes and dislikes. You may even go home with a few ideas for your garden and landscape. Oh, and we will also visit some non native invasives so you know what to avoid in your landscape.
There is no charge for our special tours but we will not discourage donations.
Parking is free. The tour begins on the traffic circle adjacent to the Atlanta Cyclorama (mapquest: 800 Cherokee Avenue, Atlanta 30315) Reservations are encouraged.
