Happy Holidays Grant Park

Zoo Atlanta and the Grant Park Conservancy are partnering to add 60 new trees in Grant Park this year. Another 40 will be added next year. The species and locations of these trees are guided by the Grant Park Master Plan. Installation is expected before year's end, so look for our new additions as you stroll the park.

Zoo Atlanta has resided in Grant Park since its founding in 1889 and is itself home to a spectacular botanical collection, including many hardwood and evergreen trees. As construction projects occasionally necessitate tree removals from Zoo property, Zoo Atlanta is committed to the installation of new trees in ongoing support of Grant Park’s important role in the community.

For more than 120 years, these historic parklands have provided generations of Atlantans with a valuable urban oasis and a memorable setting for outdoor and family activities.
