WE DID IT!!
Thank you to the 100+ neighbors who generously gave to this campaign! Friday, April 15 was the last day to donate and we met our goal of $6,500.
Construction is scheduled to begin the first week of May and complete mid-May so that the pool can open end of May. Thank you to everyone who supported this project.

As a neighborhood we have a rare opportunity to add greenspace to our park. You've likely driven or walked past the abandoned dive well next to the Grant Park Pool.
The Grant Park Conservancy has a contractor ready to convert this eyesore into greenspace for $42,000. We have commitments for matching grants totaling $35,500 that are contingent on our 
neighborhood raising the final $6,500 by April 15, 2011.As you read, we met and exceeded this goal, making us able to ditch the dive well.
All donations to this initiative were tax deductible, and work can begin immediately once our goal is met. The City of Atlanta has approved the project, and is prepared to provide a significant portion of the funding. This means the dive well can be eliminated before the pool opens on May 30, 2011!
